As the Chinese New Year approaches on the 17th of February, I find myself reflecting on the beautiful transition from the quiet, introspective energy of the Snake to the vibrant, free-spirited energy of the Horse. This shift invites us to release what no longer serves us and gallop forward with renewed vitality and courage. It’s a perfect moment to embrace change, and I warmly invite you to join our live classes on Tuesday’s, and welcome the New Year on 17th February. Tuesday’s 5.30pm in Kingscliff Community Hall
Embracing the Change: From Snake to Horse Energy
The Snake symbolizes wisdom, patience, and subtlety. It encourages us to look inward, to shed old skins, and to prepare for new growth. As we move into the Year of the Horse, the energy shifts dramatically. The Horse is all about freedom, movement, and boldness. It invites us to step out of our comfort zones and embrace life with enthusiasm and confidence.
This transition is not just symbolic; it’s a call to action. Imagine the Snake’s slow, deliberate movements giving way to the Horse’s powerful gallop across open fields. This is your moment to shed any lingering doubts or fears and to welcome a fresh, dynamic energy into your life.

How to Shed the Snake Energy Mindfully
Shedding the Snake energy means letting go of what holds you back. It’s about releasing old habits, thoughts, and emotions that no longer serve your highest good. Here are some gentle, practical ways to do this:
Reflect and Release: Take time to journal about what you want to leave behind. Be honest and compassionate with yourself.
Mindful Movement: Engage in gentle Qigong Tai Chi to help your body release tension and invite new energy.
Create Space: Declutter your living or work environment to symbolise clearing out the old.
Set Intentions: Write down what you want to invite into your life with the Horse energy, freedom, creativity and courage.
By taking these steps, you prepare yourself to welcome the Horse’s vibrant energy with open arms.

I’m thrilled to offer a special live class on Tuesday, 17th February, at 5.30pm in Kingscliff Community Hall to welcome the New Year. This gathering is designed to help you consciously release the Snake’s introspective energy and embraces the New Year with the Horse’s dynamic spirit. Together, we will explore mindful movement, breathwork, and guided meditation to support this powerful shift.

We will create a warm, inclusive space where you can connect with others and find renewed strength, with the intention to feel grounded, calm, balanced and aligned into the New Year’s energies.

Why This Energy Shift Matters for Well-Being
The Chinese New Year is more than a cultural celebration; it’s a natural rhythm that aligns with our own cycles of growth and renewal. By consciously engaging with this energy shift, we support our mental, emotional and physical well-being.
The Horse energy encourages us to move forward with confidence. It reminds us to balance hard work with joy, to find freedom in our creativity and to nurture our mental health with kindness.
Incorporating this awareness into your daily life can lead to:
Increased motivation and focus
Greater emotional resilience
Enhanced creativity and problem-solving
A deeper sense of peace and balance
This is the essence of what Mindful Moving aims to offer, a path to holistic well-being that supports both personal growth and professional demands.
