Service Description

Experience the transformative power of medical Qigong’s including Shibashi a series of 18 graceful, flowing and mindful movements designed to holistically enhance health and wellbeing. Rooted in the philosophy of Tai Chi, it incorporates selected movements from the traditional Tai Chi Chuan form.  Qigong works with the body’s internal energy system, known as the meridians, The circulation of Qi helps to clear energetic blockages within the body and the surrounding energy field (aura). When these flowing movements are synchronised with natural posture and balanced breathing, they create a form of moving meditation.  The internal energy cultivated through Qigong helps circulate blood and oxygen throughout the body, nourishing the organs and tissues and promoting healing. Additionally, the deep connection between mind and breath calms mental activity, alleviates emotional stress and anxiety, and fosters a sense of peace, balance, and mental clarity.  Although there are many health benefits from each individual movement, to practice the complete Shibashi 18 Qigong form gives optimal holistic health benefits. The health benefits suggested in the video series are based on the translation in Professor Lin’s book ‘Tai Chi Qigong.
